Spanish Jesuits kidnap a young Native boy
Timeline
A group of Spanish Jesuits came to the area from Florida and while there kidnapped a young Native boy, baptized him, and gave him the name Don Louis. They returned a few years later, hoping that Don Louis would help them convert his people to Christianity. The plan backfired when Don Louis renounced Christianity and led an attack on the Spanish mission.
